Emerging Futures: Innovation in Teaching and Learning in VET
This report on Innovation in Teaching and Learning in the vocational education and training (VET) sector demonstrates that pressures for change are flowing with increasing force into teaching and learning practice within VET. As a consequence of this ongoing change, wider, deeper and more frequent innovation is now needed in VET teaching and learning practices. Click here to download. (PDF 845Kb)

E-business and Online Learning: Connections and Opportunities for VET
This study examines the connections between e-business and online learning and considers the opportunities for the vocational education and training (VET) sector arising from these connections. The report shows that, historically, e-business and online learning evolved separately within VET, although examples of convergence between the two fields are now emerging. The report argues that encouraging this convergence will benefit VET customers and VET organisations. Click here to view.

Strategy-making in turbulent times
Strategy-making ensures that organisations are responsive to their changing external environments and to their stakeholders and clients. This report shows that Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in the vocational education and training (VET) sector need to continually undertake strategy-making, as the external environment for most RTOs is constantly changing and, to some extent, is turbulent. The report provides a range of examples of RTOs effectively developing strategies, despite this turbulence and despite uncertainty about the future. Click here to download. (PDF 224Kb)

Effectively structuring Communities of Practice
Communities of practice are groups of people bound together by common interests and a passion for a cause, and who continually interact. The report shows that effectively structured communities of practice can have significant impacts on the implementation of the national training system in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. E-education in Australia
The study shows that while e-business in education is in its early stages worldwide, a small number of Australian organisations have reached an advanced stage and there is a range of important e-business projects and initiatives starting up around the sector. E-business developments in educational organisations in overseas countries are similarly immature. Australia’s leaders in e-business are on the pace internationally. Click here to view.
