Measuring capability

JMA Analytics® provides clients with tools to measure their workforce's capability. The resultant data is invaluable for

  1. planning workforce development
  2. shaping innovation
  3. sharpening strategic plans
  4. refreshing strategic positions
  5. improving the quality of products and services
  6. delivering client outcomes.

Why was JMA Analytics® created?

Following successful assignments undertaken in 2008, JMA Analytics® was created in 2009 as a division of John Mitchell & Associates, primarily to enable educational decision-makers to systematically measure their organisational capability using quantitative techniques, and to leverage off their identified capabilities as a competitive advantage.

In April 2010, and in response to client demand for capability analysis services, the division was converted into a new company, JMA Analytics Pty Ltd.

In higher education and vocational education and training, the requirements of TEQSA and ASQA, coupled with increasing competition within the HE and VET markets, are rapidly changing the way HE and VET provider organisations are managed. Similarly, in the school sector there is unprecedented pressure for organisations to demonstrate their quality. Such pressure now extends to all service based organisations, particularly in health and government.

JMA Analytics® provides managers in service organisations with new strategies for meeting these challenges and achieving success. In particular, JMA Analytics® enables VET managers to measure the capabilities of their workforce and the development needs and preferences of their workforces.

Why compete on analytics?

Because all educational organisations offer similar products (e.g. degree programs or qualifications based on Training Packages) and many use comparable technologies, the capability of staff is a crucial differentiator. JMA Analytics® can assist managers to identify and measure their organisation's capability levels and gain a market edge on their competitors.
